MUCH MORE TO COME!

As I got my first (film) scanner in 1999 (Minolta Dimage Scan Multi, pretty good machine scanner running also 120 and with 35 mm slide feeder – interested?) and I already had many tens of thousands of photos taken, I figured it was time for the go bigger.

I bought the Mamiya C330 Professional camera body with several lenses from Mr. Reijo Pietiläinen (Espoo, Finland) on January 10, 2000 directly from his home. It was boxed, but I don’t know if he was the first owner and I think I didn’t ask. This camera was my first medium format camera. It was a 6*6, and with the square format I was always totally wasted, as I had already taken soooooo.. many shots with 135 format in 3:2 image ratio. It took my a while to get used to the format – which actually never happened to the 100 % rate.

It took this camera a bit with my travels, as it was pretty light and I like the feeling of making photographs with this kind of twin-lens reflex (TLR) camera that also Rolleiflex has made. I loved the “built-in” magnifying glass on it and the really well focusable bellows system like in large format cameras. Yes, it was like taken large format photos in small way, without the too much hassle and fuss and stuff. 🙂

The images that I made with it were just great, as long there was good enough (sun) light and the subject was a bit longer – the dilemma with the twin lens system. There are reviews of this camera, of course.

This nice camera had for example “automatic shutter cocking; automatic parallax and exposure compensation marker in viewfinder for 80mm, 105mm, 135mm & 180mm lenses, and also for 55mm & 65mm lenses if 55/65mm correction plate employed”, see more in Gary Ayton’s photography wiki. There (and elsewhere) you can read for which camera models the lenses I am selling are also suitable.

Unlucky for me, something happened with the camera, and I surely don’t know what. The damn thing jammed, and I had professionals and others take a look at it. I think they only did the light service on it (you know: you show some light with a lamp to it, and (pray or not) that this will fix the broken machine): they couldn’t fix it.

This item for sale is a Mamiya-Sekor D 135 mm F4.5 black twin lens. I am no camera selling professional and am not officially qualified to judge the condition of this camera part. I have checked the lens and I haven’t noted anything in malfunction. The dust in the photos appears to be on top of the lens, I think. If you desire, and I check this properly again and send you more / higher resolution photos per email. Cosmetically, it is as you see from the photos. I have marked it excellent condition, and that is only my personal opinion.

I am selling this somewhat rare lens buy it now 200 euros, shipping only to be done fully insured, local pickup, testing and reasonable offers welcome.

I also have the following lenses for sale:

and of course the Mamiya C330 Professional camera body for parts.

Remember if you buy outside EU and you are in EU, you need to pay customs tax (typically ca. 5 %) and VAT (typically around 20 – 25 %) which are added on top of shipping and insurance costs. To my understanding, these costs are calculated and due regardless of the age and condition of the item!

Yes, of course, I will combine shipping for reduced shipping costs. I urge you to my buy more from me and will be flexible with it. Please note the somewhat expensive shipping costs from Finland, especially if insurance is needed. If the value of order gets to a higher level, I insist on taken an insurance for the shipping.

If you have more questions, please contact me directly.
