MUCH MORE TO COME!

I bought a Canon EOS 50E with a package from a private person in 2003/2004, but could not get the eye-focus working superb with my two-glasses. So I traded the whole lot for large format cameras I got from a professional second-hand camera store in Helsinki, 2004. Then my father was turning 65, and I got on behalf of the family a EOS 50 second-hand camera body [with a lens] for him. This is the one I am selling here.

I have never really used this camera but on some rare occasions, more like on behalf of my dad, but he did a while (not that much, indeed) before he turned into digital, which was a pain for us (sons) as he was never so computer-ready.

I checked the camera as I took these photos attached and everything seemed in it working, except that the back (door) had a problem of not locking properly. So, I took parts from my burned trusty ol’ EOS 620, and pretty much solved the problem. You cannot tell from the photos that I have done the work, which is of course very hard for you to believe, so I’d better attach some photos of the fixing process to the end as well, eh? 😉

I’d say that the EOS 50 is not such a great machine as the EOS 5 and is even further from EOS 3, but for someone who likes to experiment with, say, expired film, and is not really serious on it, this thing is just great. Perhaps with the saved money you get more of those 35 mm expired films from me, eh? 😉

I am selling this nice camera body buy it now 65 euros, shipping only to be done fully insured, local pickup, testing and reasonable offers welcome.

You get the lithium battery (expired and possibly already empty) that I opened from it box for camera testing as a free extra, as well as the Canon strap. No, you don’t get the Canon Zoom Lens EF 28-80mm F3.5-5.6 shown in some photos, but I will do you a nice package deal for the two (or more items).

I am no camera selling professional and am not officially qualified to judge the condition of this camera body. I have checked the camera (with lenses) and I haven’t noted anything in malfunction. Also, the built-in flash works, as you can see from the photos. Cosmetically, it is as you see from the photos. I have marked it good condition, as stating “very good” would be, I believe, be too much, although in eBay there might be many to state that.

Remember if you buy outside EU and you are in EU, you need to pay customs tax (typically ca. 5 %) and VAT (typically around 20 – 25 %) which are added on top of shipping and insurance costs. To my understanding, these costs are calculated and due regardless of the age and condition of the item! There are calculators on-line for this, like from Pitney Bowes.

Yes, of course, I will combine shipping for reduced shipping costs. I urge you to my buy more from me and will be flexible with it. Please note the somewhat expensive shipping costs from Finland, especially if insurance is needed. If the value of order gets to a higher level, I insist on taken an insurance for the shipping.

If you have more questions, please contact me directly.
