The KAR MPA microphone preamplifier, designed by Unides Design Ay, is a taylor-made preamplifier for high quality head-related transfer function (HRTF) measurements and binaural recordings.

The descrete electronics are enclosed in a small sized (114*64*39 mm) moulded aluminum box, for efficient reduction of electronic interference and maximum rigidity. A 9 V alcaline battery yields more than 150 hours of operation time. The high-quality BNC (output) and Neutrix Nanocon (input) connectors guarantee life-long functioning. The design is equally valid for ragged field recordings as well as laboratory measurements.

Specifications

The MPA10E preamplifier is primarly designed for Sennheiser KE4-211-1 (3/16") electret capsules, but will also work with other electret microphones. Download the product specifications in PDF below.
