MUCH MORE TO COME!

I got this film already 2 years expired, I think. It was kept in a cool storage (15 degrees Celsius or colder) in Finland. I kept ALL my films until July 2014 in deep fridge (at least -18 degrees Celsius) basically from the moment I got them. Then, as my company moved to a new location I kept MOST of my Quickload (QL) films in deep freezer until January 2016, but not this particular film box. Inside, where the films have been stored, the room temperature has been ca. + 3 .. 10 degrees Celsius during wintertime (ca. November – April) and ca. + 10 .. 17 degrees Celsius at other times. During January – May 2016 ALL films were well covered outside at ca. -33 .. + 10 degrees Celsius and after that time I moved all my films inside (temperatures as above). Other photographers and I have used this QL film without problems. Usually, slide film can be used long after its expiry date, especially if the film has been kept in deep freeze.

Provia 100 was my favorite next to Velvia 50 of slide films. Because I got the Provia 100 4×5” film, I started shooting large format film, which is a process of making slow photographs that has nothing to do with a point-and-shoot type of workflow. As I was going around the world with my Cambo SC (short of) field camera and putting myself under the black cloak, I was always looked upon with astonished, sometimes even worried, faces who had never seen these really old school photographs taken place.

This film is pretty easy to process, and you can push it 1 or 2 stops as well. I developed most of my own own 4 x 5 films as well my other films, and for these films the Tetanal 3 set E6 worked well (as long as I didn’t reuse too much the film chemistry). As I had so many multiple shots (of the same subject) taken and so little slide chemistry left, I started crossing the slides. So I developed them in color (C-41) process and the results very just ok to my needs.

Fuji announced to discontinue the manufacture of ALL quickload (QL) films in April 2010. Fuji Provia 100F RDPIII 4×5″ film seems still to be in production in sheets, but this means that you need to carry along the bulky cartridges to the location (and load the films yourself in dark). A box of unexpired 20 sheets of Fuji Provia 100F RDPIII 4×5″ is a special order product and costs in Finland 107 € including 24 % VAT in Telefoto.

I have kept this film in deep freezer for years, and being unopened in the sealed bulky cardboard box and inside an aluminum bag. In February 2016 I tested the films to be more or less ok.

For those desiring to bargain the price but who can wait, I am setting an auction starting with 25 euros, with reserve price and buy it now 50 euros.

Yes, of course I will combine shipping for reduced shipping costs. I urge you to my buy more from me and will be flexible with it. Please note the somewhat expensive shipping costs from Finland, especially if insurance is needed. If the value of order gets to a higher level, I insist on taken an insurance for the shipping.

If you buy this item – please keep it in deep freezer for best results! 🙂
